Chinese commercial vehicle manufacturer Farizon has expanded its presence in the United Kingdom with the launch of the V7E, a compact electric van tailored for urban logistics.

Expanding Electric Fleet in the UK

The V7E’s release follows the successful introduction of the larger SV model earlier in 2025. Farizon is strategically positioning the V7E to compete with established vans like the Ford Transit City.

Designed for Urban Environments

The V7E is designed to be highly maneuverable, with a minimalist and narrow build suited for congested British cities. It aims to attract cost-conscious owner-drivers and small businesses transitioning to electric vehicles.

Technical Specifications and Range

The front-wheel-drive V7E offers two battery options: a 50kWh unit and a 67kWh pack. These provide a maximum WLTP combined range of up to 204 miles. The van also boasts a payload capacity of up to 1338kg.

Focus on Payload and Configuration

Farizon opted for a two-seat configuration for the V7E, differentiating it from the larger SV model, which offers a three-seat layout and is designed for high-capacity transport and complex conversions.

Strategic Market Positioning

Calum James, General Manager for Farizon at Jameel Motors UK, believes the V7E is an ideal entry point for operators switching from internal combustion engines to electric powertrains. While conversion efforts are currently focused on the SV chassis, the V7E platform has potential for future expansion.

Future Expansion Plans

Although a chassis cab variant of the V7E is available in markets like Australia, current UK plans focus on the panel van version. The manufacturer will continue to assess demand for chassis options as they expand their portfolio into 2026.

Industry commentators suggest the V7E’s competitive pricing and performance could disrupt the urban commercial vehicle market.
