The Bovensiepen family, formerly of the renowned BMW tuning house Alpina, has unveiled a new chapter in automotive history with the launch of Bovensiepen, an independent coachbuilding business.
A New Era of Automotive Craftsmanship
Following BMW Group’s acquisition of Alpina, the Bovensiepen family has shifted its focus to creating rare, artisanal automobiles. This venture prioritizes the art of driving and moves away from high-volume tuning.
Debut at Villa d'Este
The company’s inaugural project, a 600bhp super-GT, was revealed at the prestigious Villa d’Este Concorso d’Eleganza. This event is known for its celebration of automotive excellence and heritage.
Collaboration with Zagato
The grand tourer is based on the BMW M4 platform and was developed in partnership with the esteemed Italian design house, Zagato. This collaboration blends German engineering with Italian design flair.
Design and Craftsmanship
The vehicle showcases Zagato’s signature style, known for its associations with luxury brands like Aston Martin, Bentley, and Ferrari. Each unit requires over 250 hours of meticulous craftsmanship.
Performance Specifications
The Bovensiepen Zagato boasts a 3.0-litre straight-six engine producing 603bhp and 516lb ft of torque. This allows for a 0-62mph acceleration time of 3.3 seconds and a top speed exceeding 186mph.
