This new season promises to invigorate the gameplay with the addition of iconic WWE Superstars, unique cosmetic items, and significant technical improvements through a comprehensive patch. Players can look forward to an expanded roster and a wealth of new customization options designed to deepen their engagement with the game. Season 2's roster expansion is a major highlight, featuring the formidable WWE Legends Ax, Smash, and Crush, collectively known as Demolition. This iconic tag team makes their debut in WWE 2K24, bringing their powerful presence and signature moves to the virtual ring. Alongside them, Kelly Kelly makes her first appearance in the game, offering fans a chance to relive her vibrant career. Collectively, these four new Superstars will introduce 35 new moves and taunts, adding further depth and variety to in-game combat. Beyond the new Superstars, Season 2 introduces an exciting crossover with the popular Borderlands franchise, offering players unique character Personas. The season also boasts updated entrances for existing Superstars, further enhancing the visual spectacle of the game. The Ringside Pass for Season 2 is structured into two distinct tracks: the Premium track and the Free track, providing different levels of access to the new content. A notable change from Season 1 is that all four new WWE Superstars are immediately available in Tier 1 of the Premium track, a departure from the staggered release of the previous season. This immediate access ensures players can jump into the action with the new additions right away. The Premium track is also the gateway to exclusive new Personas, including the much-hyped Borderlands crossover. This collaboration brings Wasteland versions of popular WWE Superstars, such as Becky Lynch reimagined as Lilith, CM Punk as Ripper, and Rhea Ripley as Ripper Queen. These fantastical designs are elaborate, with Rhea Ripley's Persona featuring impressive giant mechanical arms that can be equipped by created Superstars, offering a unique visual flair and potential gameplay benefits. Further enriching the Premium track are other exclusive items, including Stephanie McMahon's iconic WrestleMania 32 attire, Ripple Junction branded shirts for Liv Morgan, Dominik Mysterio, and Rhea Ripley, the special OTC1 Shirt, and customizable Fur Boots. New signature moves like the Amethyst Storm and Base Drop are also part of the Premium offerings, giving players more ways to express their in-game persona. On the Free Track, players will find a highly anticipated update to Oba Femi’s entrance, meticulously recreated to match his appearance and entrance from his match against Cody Rhodes on Saturday Night’s Main Event. This Free Track highlight will be unlockable at Tier 40, rewarding dedicated players. Accompanying the launch of Season 2 is a significant game patch designed to address a wide array of issues and introduce performance improvements. This update not only refines the existing gameplay experience but also brings forth new move sets, event towers, and a special Trios Entrance for the Alpha Academy stable, featuring Maxxine Dupri, Otis, and Akira Tozawa. The patch notes reveal an extensive list of fixes and additions. Key improvements include addressing save data reverting issues after relaunching the game, the addition of new moves like Chelsea Green’s Un-Pretty-Her 2, motion captured by the Superstar herself, and a new Triangle Crossbody 1 move. The patch also implements the Alpha Academy Trios Entrance and unlocks the new Order of Malice location after completing Chapter 1. Numerous bug fixes related to facial structure customization, rollback functionalities, presentation name sorting, attire portraits, DLC Superstar visibility, piercing selection, custom image resizing in Create-an-Arena, relief logo details, soft crashes when manipulating props, commentator and announcer positioning, prop clipping issues, missing title motions, custom Superstar name display, generic stage and ramp settings, and duplicate pyro effect functionality have been implemented, ensuring a more stable and polished gaming environment for all players
