The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star Whitney Leavitt has hinted at the possibility of securing her own spinoff series. This speculation follows recent turbulence surrounding her co-star, Taylor Frankie Paul.

Spinoff Buzz Following Production Hiatus

Whitney, 32, recently addressed fan interest in a potential show centered on her and her husband, Conner Leavitt, 32. On Monday, March 30, she posted a TikTok captioned, "How it feels knowing y'all want a Leavitt spinoff," featuring both of them.

Viewers of the Hulu series have been vocal about wanting a Whitney and Conner-focused show. This interest surged after production on Season 5 of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives was paused.

Taylor Frankie Paul's Ongoing Legal Issues

Us Weekly confirmed earlier this month that filming is currently on hiatus. This pause is directly related to an ongoing investigation by Utah police into an alleged domestic violence incident.

The incident involved Taylor Frankie Paul, 31, and her ex-boyfriend, Dakota Mortensen, 33. Taylor is currently serving probation stemming from a separate physical altercation with Dakota in 2023.

Details of 2023 Altercation and Consequences

Taylor pleaded guilty to aggravated assault as part of a plea agreement. This deal resulted in the dismissal of other charges, including domestic violence in the presence of a child and child abuse with injury.

Leaked footage from the 2023 event reportedly showed Taylor throwing chairs at Dakota, with one appearing to hit her daughter. Following this, ABC announced the cancellation of Taylor's upcoming season of The Bachelorette.

A representative for Taylor stated that she is "very grateful for ABC’s support as she prioritizes her family’s safety and security." The statement added that Taylor has remained silent to avoid further abuse and public shaming, and is "exploring all of her options."

Dakota was subsequently granted a temporary protective order against Taylor. This order also awarded him sole custody of their child, Ever.

Other Cast Members Face Personal Changes

Amid the production pause for the main series, other cast members experienced significant personal developments. News broke that Jordan Ngatikaura, 31, filed for divorce from Jessi Draper, 33.

Jordan shared with Us, “While our paths are now moving in different directions, my priority remains my children and ensuring they feel loved, supported and protected through this transition.” He expressed commitment to handling the transition with kindness and respect.

Jessi recently addressed the split on the Call Her Daddy podcast on Wednesday, March 25. She claimed she ended the relationship, stating, “I did end it with him, so I knew it was coming.”

Jessi alleged that they had agreed to announce the separation together, but Jordan blindsided her by filing first to control the headline. She noted they had not yet told their children as agreed.

Us later confirmed that Jessi was seen kissing Chase McWhorter, the ex-husband of co-star Miranda McWhorter, at a recent party. However, an inside source indicated the interaction was not "serious."
