Army Launches Investigation Following Viral Helicopter Video

The United States Army has initiated an official investigation after footage emerged online showing military helicopters near the Tennessee residence of musician Kid Rock.

Army spokesperson Maj. Montrell Russell confirmed the situation to Politico on Monday, March 30. The Army is aware of the circulating video, which appears to feature AH-64 Apache helicopters operating close to a private home in the Nashville area.

Reviewing Flight Regulations and Safety

Major Russell stated that Army aviators are required to maintain strict adherence to established flight regulations and high standards of professionalism and safety. The Army has begun an administrative review to verify compliance with all airspace requirements and the mission parameters involved.

The spokesperson further confirmed that if any regulatory violations are identified during the review, the Army will proceed with taking the necessary “appropriate action.”

Kid Rock's Reaction and Political Commentary

The investigation follows Kid Rock, age 55, posting the clip on Sunday, March 29, showing the military aircraft hovering above his property. In his accompanying Instagram post, the musician contrasted the event with political figures.

“This is a level of respect that s*** for brains Governor of California will never know,” Kid Rock wrote, adding patriotic emojis and honoring those who sacrificed for the nation.

Political Backlash and Personal Account

A representative for California Governor Gavin Newsom responded to Kid Rock’s remarks in a statement to Politico, labeling the incident as “Waste, fraud, abuse!”

In an interview with WKRN, Kid Rock described the unexpected flyover, noting that the helicopters circled back. He offered a salute as a gesture of thanks, calling the moment a unique form of respect unmatched by awards or record sales.

Kid Rock, a known supporter of President Donald Trump (age 79), mentioned that he has previously interacted with military pilots flying overhead. He recalled telling them during a visit last Thanksgiving with JD Vance that they were always welcome to cruise by his house when flying past.

Upon learning that disciplinary measures could follow any confirmed violations, Kid Rock expressed confidence that his association with President Trump would help mitigate any severe repercussions.

Us Weekly has sought additional comment from Kid Rock’s representative regarding the ongoing situation.
