UFC 333: Volkanovski vs Evloev Headlines Two Title Fights in Abu Dhabi UFC 333 takes place Saturday, October 24 at Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi, headlined by Alexander Volkanovski vs Movsar Evloev and Merab Dvalishvili vs Petr Yan, with the full card starting at 10 a.m. ET. UFC 333 takes place Saturday, October 24 at Etihad Arena in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, headlined by two title fights. The entire card begins at 10 a.m. ET with the prelims, and the main card starts at 2 p.m. ET. Eight of the 14 bouts are projected to end inside the distance. The main event and co-main event are overwhelmingly expected to go the full 25 minutes. Each fight is priced at least -275 to go to the judges scorecards. Alexander Volkanovski faces undefeated featherweight Movsar Evloev in the main event.Volkanovski Faces Evloev In Main EventVolkanovski enters his 12th consecutive title fight and has been in the title picture since 2018. He was featherweight champion dating back to 2019. Evloev has next to no knockout power. He has never even knocked a fighter down in his UFC career and has won all of his fights by decision. His takedown threat does make his striking better, though. Volkanovski is one of the smartest fighters of our time, with the ability to download and adjust to styles better than anyone we have seen. However, his durability has slowly begun to deteriorate. He has been knocked down in three of his last four fights and knocked out in two of his last four, including once at lightweight against Islam Makhachev. There is also the Father Time angle with his chin slowing beginning to go. Still, I will take the challenger this weekend on the moneyline, as he is going to be in better shape and a better athlete thanks to his youth.Dvalishvili Needs Superhuman Volume To WinHe should not, in theory, have to worry about too much power coming from Evloev. Merab Dvalishvili attempted 26 takedowns in his last fight against Petr Yan and landed just two. That is the story of this fight. Dvalishvili won the first time these two fought in 2023, where he landed 11 takedowns on 49 attempts. The Machine Dvalishvili needs to be superhuman in terms of volume in order to win this fight. Given his age, 35, and activity, he has the second most cage time in the UFC since 2024. I have a hard time believing he still has that in him. I believe that he is quickly beginning to decline after that fight against Yan, who seemed to break him.Dvalishvili was lucky to get out without being TKO'd by Yan, and I suspect that is how this one ends this weekend. We are taking Yan by KO/TKO. It would be the first time he has ever been knocked out, but it was so close last time that we are going for it. Lone'er Kavanagh (-118) vs. Ramazon Temirov (-102).Azamat Murzanakov (-205) vs. Dominick Reyes (+170). Grant Dawson (-115) vs. Nurullo Aliev (-105). Bolaji Oki (+100) vs. Daniel Santos (-120). Dawson's losses thus far have only come via first-round knockout.Best Betting Options For UFC 333 CardWhile Aliev can finish things with ground and pound, he is yet to showcase the kind of one-punch power on the feet that could spark KGD in the early going. Rowston's striking style relies heavily on his long frame and is going to get him in trouble at some point. If he can keep things standing and tire Magomedov out, then I expect the Australian will be able to find a finish in this matchup.Santos will be at a bit of a size disadvantage, but he is also a proven finisher and is facing a fighter that is coming off back-to-back losses via knockout. Both of these men typically get their work done via stoppage, and fans could be treated to some wild grappling exchanges if things hit the mat.Vagaev looks like a tough matchup for Malkoun given that the Australian often employs a wrestling-heavy style, but the former ACA champion also presents problems. Here are some of the best betting options. Lone'er Kavanagh vs. Ramazan Temirov: Small bets on Temirov wins in round 1 (+450, FanDuel) and Kavanagh by decision (+460, Hard Rock). Nikita Krylov vs. Abdul Rakhman Yakhyaev: Over .5 round (-235, Polymarket) for parlays.Grant Dawson vs. Nurullo Aliev: Dawson ML (-108, Novig). Colby Thicknesse vs. Asaf Chopurov: Fight goes the distance (+180, FanDuel). Abubakar Vagaev vs. Jacob Malkoun: Malkoun by decision (+240, FanDuel). Bolaji Oki vs. Daniel Santos: Under 1.5 rounds (+122, FanDuel).Kody Steele vs. Noah Gugnon: Steele wins and the fight starts round two (+160, DraftKings). Gambling content 21+.
