Deputies were dispatched to the 5400 block of Red Start Street at approximately 7 a.m. Upon arrival, officers located a male suspect actively attempting to gain entry into parked vehicles.
Arrest Attempt Leads to Injuries
When the deputies moved to detain the suspect, the situation escalated quickly. Investigators reported that one deputy was struck in the head during the confrontation.
This impact caused the injured deputy to fall directly onto her partner. Subsequently, the second deputy experienced complications when his hands became entangled in his own handcuffs.
