President Donald Trump recently shared a video clip on Sunday that purportedly depicted a strike by U.S. forces against an ammunition depot located in Isfahan, Iran.

According to the Wall Street Journal (WSJ), an official confirmed the video captured the moment of the strike. The WSJ also reported that U.S. forces have targeted over 11,000 sites during the month-long conflict with Iran.

U.S. Military Objectives Against Iran

These strikes have primarily focused on degrading Iran’s capacity for offensive military action. The stated goal of these joint operations is to prevent the Islamic regime from developing nuclear weapons capable of threatening global stability.

President Trump issued a statement regarding the ongoing military posture. He asserted that the United States is engaged in serious discussions with a "NEW, AND MORE REASONABLE, REGIME" to conclude military operations in Iran.

Conditions for Ending Operations

Trump indicated that significant progress has been made toward a resolution. However, he stipulated conditions for a swift conclusion to the U.S. presence.

If a deal is not reached soon, or if the Hormuz Strait is not immediately declared "Open for Business," the U.S. will take further action. This action would involve "blowing up and completely obliterating all of their Electric Generating Plants, Oil Wells and Kharg Island," which he noted have been intentionally spared thus far.

This potential escalation would serve as retribution for the soldiers and others killed by Iran under the previous regime's "47 year 'Reign of Terror.'"

Refuting Claims of Endless Conflict

President Trump directly addressed media claims suggesting a "forever war" was underway, stating, "Nothing could be further from the truth," as reported by Breitbart News.

He characterized the operation as "laser-focused" and "decisive." The President reiterated that the objectives, set by the "America First president," remain unchanged from the outset.

Specific Military Goals

The core military goals include:

  • Destroying missiles, launchers, and Iran’s defense industrial base to prevent reconstruction.
  • Destroying Iran's navy.
  • Ensuring Iran never acquires a nuclear weapon.
