The successor to one of 2025’s best camera phones finally has a launch date Tech Product Reviews, How To, Best Ofs, deals and Advice Oppo is gearing up to launch its next Ultra-tier flagship, the Find X9 Ultra. Over the past few weeks, the company has teased key details about the device, with a clear focus on its camera setup. It has now confirmed a global launch for late next month. When is the Find X9 Ultra coming out? Oppo announced the launch in a recent post on X, confirming that the Find X9 Ultra will debut globally on April 21. While the post doesn’t reveal much, it offers a glimpse of the phone’s back panel in a purple finish with a gold-accented circular camera module. The post reinforces Oppo’s camera-first positioning by framing the device as a camera rather than a phone, using the line: “Your next camera is ready to launch.” That messaging lines up with recent teasers, which have largely focused on camera hardware. What makes the Find X9 Ultra’s cameras stand out? Oppo has confirmed that the Find X9 Ultra will feature a top-tier quad-camera setup, headlined by a 50MP f/3.5 periscope telephoto camera with 10x optical zoom. The company says this zoom lens will offer gimbal-level optical image stabilization while still being more compact than earlier periscope modules. Alongside it, the phone is set to include a 200MP primary sensor, a second 200MP periscope telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom, and a 50MP ultrawide camera. Like other devices in the Find X9 lineup, the Find X9 Ultra’s cameras will be tuned in partnership with Hasselblad. What else is expected from the Find X9 Ultra? Beyond its impressive camera hardware, leaks suggest the Find X9 Ultra will pack top-tier flagship specs across the board. It’s expected to feature a 6.82-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, paired with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, up to 16GB of RAM, and 512GB of storage. Recommended Videos Reports also point to a massive battery exceeding 7,000mAh, with support for 100W wired and 50W wireless charging. Oppo hasn’t confirmed these details yet, and pricing also remains under wraps. More information is likely to surface in the days leading up to the launch.
