The Edition brand is preparing to introduce a new collection of high-end residences in Detroit next year. These 96 luxury units, named The Residences at the Detroit Edition, feature interior designs crafted by the renowned firm Yabu Pushelberg.

Prime Location within the Hudson's Development

These exclusive homes are situated within the massive Hudson’s Detroit tower. This mixed-use property is a significant undertaking, spanning an impressive 1.5 million square feet on the historic site of the former J. L. Hudson Department Store.

Dan Gilbert, founder and chairman of Bedrock, the developer partnering on the project, expressed enthusiasm for the launch. He stated, “The Residences at the Detroit Edition delivers a one-of-a-kind residential product to Detroit in the heart of all that our great city has to offer.”

Unparalleled Views and Interior Design

Residents will enjoy sweeping vistas of the Detroit skyline and the Detroit River. Gilbert also highlighted the proximity to dynamic retail and dining options located at ground level on Woodward Avenue.

While layouts vary, all great rooms boast 10-foot ceilings and expansive walls of windows framing the city views. The open kitchens are appointed with rich woods and stone islands, complemented by dark bronze hardware.

These gourmet kitchens feature top-of-the-line appliances from premium brands, including Wolf, Cove, and Sub-Zero. In contrast, the primary bathrooms offer a serene aesthetic, utilizing a white color scheme complete with soaking tubs and rainfall showers.

Extensive Amenities for Residents

Beyond the private living spaces, the development provides 14,000 square feet dedicated to indoor and outdoor amenities for community interaction. For wellness, there is a fitness and aquatic suite.

This suite includes an indoor pool, a hot tub, and dedicated sauna and steam rooms. For productivity and family needs, residents have access to a co-working space and a children’s playroom.

Outdoor Living and Hotel Access

Once the Midwest winter subsides, residents can utilize the landscaped terrace. This outdoor area is equipped with lounges and summer kitchens for gatherings.

Homeowners will also benefit from access to the adjacent Edition hotel. This grants access to hotel amenities such as additional restaurants, another pool, and various spa services.

The larger Hudson’s development surrounding the residences will feature office space, retail stores, an event venue, and a cocktail bar from the lauded. Pricing for the initial units starts around $600,000 for the smallest available homes. Douglas Elliman Development Marketing is managing all sales for The Residences.
