Teddi Mellencamp Discusses Dating App Experience

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Teddi Mellencamp recently opened up about her experiences with dating apps following her split from Edwin Arroyave. On the Wednesday, April 1st episode of iHeartRadio’s “Two T’s In a Pod” podcast, Mellencamp recounted a recent interaction on Hinge.

Hinge Encounter with a 25-Year-Old

Mellencamp, 44, described receiving a message from a 25-year-old man on the dating app. The message read, “Hey, hey, what are you up to later?” She initially responded with a playful, “You mean later tonight?”

Despite her initial surprise, Mellencamp admitted she found the man attractive. However, upon noticing his age, she jokingly questioned whether 25-year-olds are “the best at sex,” adding with a laugh, “I mean I’ve been good since I started at 16.”

Updates on a 'More Mature' Relationship

Mellencamp also shared details about a man she has been dating, describing him as the “more mature guy.” She explained that she initially wasn’t ready for a serious relationship but has since reconsidered.

“I didn’t think I was ready and I wasn’t in that place of mind where I was ready for the real deal, and this guy’s kind of the real deal,” she stated. They have been on “four or five good dates” since reconnecting.

Mellencamp playfully criticized her current date for having read receipts enabled on his Samsung phone, joking it was “almost reason to not continue dating.” She also humorously suggested he needs to “up the sexy time,” revealing that if she were having frequent intimate encounters, she’d be in a “much better mood.”

She confirmed that the man is not married and that she has visited his home. Mellencamp and Edwin Arroyave were married from 2011 until their separation in 2024, and they share three children: Slate, Dove, and Cruz.
