Jensen Ackles Proposes Supernatural Revival SceneAccording to Ackles, he would have tweaked the series finale to feature Jack (Alexander Calvert) arriving to tell Sam and Dean in the afterlife that they had to be sent back, cutting to black. That, he said, would have kept the door open for a future revival.While that did not happen, Ackles noted they could always film a new scene with Calvert as Jack arriving during Sam and Dean's moment at the bridge in the finale to the same effect. He explained that having Jack walk up and say he needs to send them back opens the door to something in the future.Finale Ending and Jack's Role as New GodThe Supernatural series finale was emotional but controversial. Dean died in a routine hunt, which drew criticism from fans.
