Summer House Stars Confirm Relationship After Speculation

Reality television personalities Amanda Batula and West Wilson, known from Bravo's Summer House, have publicly addressed ongoing rumors regarding their relationship status.

The pair released a joint statement on Instagram this Tuesday, March 31, to provide clarity to their followers. They acknowledged the growing online chatter surrounding their connection.

“We’ve seen the growing online speculation, so while this is still very new, we wanted to provide some clarity,” the statement read. They emphasized that hiding their situation was not their intention.

Navigating Scrutiny and Privacy

Batula and Wilson explained that the unique dynamics of their situation, compounded by the pressures of reality television, required private processing time. They noted that they needed space before making a public announcement.

The statement continued, highlighting the foundation of their bond. “We’ve shown up for each other as friends over the years, through all the highs and lows, and what’s developed recently was the last thing either of us expected,” they shared.

They stressed that their connection evolved from a genuine, long-standing friendship. Because of this history, they felt it was crucial to approach the new relationship with considerable care.

Understanding Evolving Feelings

The reality stars concluded their message by addressing the timing of their announcement. They wanted to take time to fully understand their evolving feelings before speaking out.

They also recognized the broader impact of their actions. “We also recognize that this has had an impact beyond just us and never wanted our actions to cause any hurt or be perceived as careless,” they wrote. They asked for understanding and respect as they navigate this new phase.

Context of Recent Splits and Friendships

The confirmation follows swirling rumors that began earlier in the week, coinciding with Batula’s recent separation from her husband, Kyle Cooke.

Batula and Cooke had announced their amicable split in January, stating they were parting ways after much reflection to focus on personal growth and healing. This separation fueled much of the recent speculation.

Furthermore, the rumors led some Bravo fans to assume a rift between Batula and co-star Ciara Miller, who previously had an on-again, off-again relationship with Wilson. Batula had previously dismissed dating rumors involving cast members.

During a March appearance on Jason Tartick’s “Trading Secrets” podcast, Batula clarified her stance on dating within the cast: “It’s not going to happen. I’m not touching any of my cast members,” she stated, adding she loves them dearly but is “good.”

Amanda Batula’s Post-Separation Outlook

Batula, 36, has recently expressed optimism about moving forward after her marriage to Cooke, 43. She told Marie Claire earlier this month that she feels like she is “on cloud nine” and “unstoppable.”

She also shared her current dating desires, emphasizing casual fun over seriousness. “I am manifesting a boyfriend, but just a boyfriend. No one who’s looking for anything serious,” Batula revealed.

She added that she is looking to “have fun” with someone her “age or younger,” noting that she has historically dated older men.
