A new Star Wars game is in development, promising a deep dive into the era of the Clone Wars. The game will center around tactical gameplay, robust squad-building mechanics, and a narrative that expands the established Star Wars universe.

Clone Wars Setting & Mercenary Focus

Players will take on the role of Hawks, a former Republic officer now leading a mercenary squad. This squad will be comprised of diverse characters drawn from across the galaxy, including individuals from various factions involved in the Clone Wars. The game is set in 20 BBY, approximately one year before the Republic’s transformation into the Empire.

Character Customization & Unique Classes

Bit Reactor, the game’s developer, emphasizes extensive character customization. Players can personalize Hawks’ appearance, choosing from options like Human, Devaronian, Mirialan, Togruta, Twi'lek, or Zabrak. Recruited mercenaries can also be customized based on their alien species, with options including Neimoidian, Ovissian, Rodian, and Weequay.

The game features both Standard and Exotic classes. Certain characters, like Cly Kullervo (Mandalorian Warrior) and Tel-Rea Vokoss (Jedi Padawan), have exclusive access to specific Exotic classes, ensuring unique gameplay experiences. Other Exotic classes include Astromech and a currently unrevealed archetype.

A New Threat: The Infinite Coil

Beyond the Separatist forces, players will face a new enemy: the Infinite Coil, a Dark Side cult allied with the Separatists. This cult aims to spread the “Shadow Plague” across the galaxy, a mysterious affliction that grants its victims enhanced resilience and strength.

Introducing Kundri Fathom & New Enemies

Leading the Infinite Coil is Kundri Fathom, a strategist who, along with new adversaries like the warrior Visser and the Super Tactical Droid Typhon, presents a formidable challenge. The Infinite Coil represents a previously unseen element within the Star Wars canon.

The game promises to delve into the complexities of the Clone Wars, offering a rich experience for both longtime fans and newcomers. Players will gather intelligence and uncover new facets of the galaxy, potentially revealing exciting new lore and deepening their understanding of this beloved franchise. The game is slated for release this year.
