He is therefore a perfect addition to this potential new trio of Mortis Gods: Anakin as the Father, Ahsoka as the Daughter, and Baylan as the Son. That is a tall order for Star Wars, but the theory fits the lore.Beyond the mystery of who Anakin's father really was, or whether he was created by the Force itself, and beyond his absence from the sequel trilogy, another major question remains. What exactly did the Chosen One prophecy mean, and did Anakin fulfill his destiny as the Chosen One? The prequels reveal that part of the prophecy said this being would bring balance to the Force.The Jedi interpreted that to mean the destruction of the Sith. That does not sound like balance, and it is not consistent with what the rest of Star Wars shows. Balance suggests holding both sides, light and dark, together while keeping them in check. That is exactly what the Father did as one of the Mortis Gods.Some view Return of the Jedi as Anakin bringing balance by destroying Palpatine, yet that makes little sense. Palpatine returns, which is a problem on its own. Simply destroying the Sith also does not meet the definition of balance. What would meet it is Anakin taking the place of the Father of the Mortis Gods, just as the Father originally wanted him to, and directly embodying balance in the Force.That could finally explain Anakin Skywalker's Chosen One prophecy. It could also reveal his true fate and answer why he was absent when his grandson needed him most.
