Colombian pop superstar Shakira will be performing at Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City on July 25th. This concert is part of her highly anticipated 'Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran' World Tour, supporting her 2024 album.
Intimate Venues Before European Stadiums
Shakira, one of the biggest Hispanophone pop stars globally, is playing a series of relatively smaller venues across the United States before heading to Europe for arena-sized shows. She has been captivating audiences worldwide on the 'La Mujeres Ya No Lloran' tour.
A Boost for Atlantic City Tourism
The concert is considered a significant win for Atlantic City, as the city’s promotional arm, Visit AC, is actively working to increase pop music tourism. This event follows a recent performance by Australian electronic music trio RÜFÜS DU SOL on August 29th, signaling a renewed focus on attracting major musical acts.
Tour Dates and Ticket Information
The Atlantic City show is one of 13 intimate performances across U.S. arenas. Other tour dates include Baltimore on July 6th, Newark, N.J. on July 16th, Brooklyn on July 20th, and Belmont Park, N.Y. on July 23rd. There is currently no scheduled date for Philadelphia.
Tickets will first be available through Citi and Verizon pre-sales on April 9th, with general on-sale beginning on Thursday, April 9th at 10 a.m.
A Global Icon
Shakira, a four-time Grammy winner and fifteen-time Latin Grammy winner, is also known for her fluency in seven languages and her 2006 hit collaboration with Wyclef Jean, “Hips Don’t Lie.” She is currently nominated for induction into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. The tour features a large-scale production, despite being held in venues like Boardwalk Hall, which holds just under 15,000 attendees.
