San Jose Police Identify Victims of March Shooting

Investigators have identified the two men fatally shot in a San Jose commercial building last month. The Santa Clara County Medical Examiner’s Office named the victims as Oscar Herrera Salgado, 41, of San Jose, and Eddie Leon Guerrero Delgado, 56, of Sunnyvale.

Details of the Incident

On March 12th, San Jose Police officers responded to a call in the 700 block of Santa Clara Street at 10:11 p.m. Upon arrival, officers discovered two men suffering from at least one gunshot wound.

Scene and Pronouncement of Death

Both victims were pronounced dead at the scene. The location was described by KTVU as a two-story building housing a market and hair salon, located near Van Florist.

Ongoing Investigation

Police are currently treating the shootings as homicides. The motives and surrounding circumstances remain under investigation.

Witness Accounts

One neighbor reported hearing an argument followed by a vehicle speeding away on the night of the shooting. Other residents in the area stated they did not hear any gunshots and expressed shock at the unfolding events.
