Man Injured in Northeast Side Shooting
A man is currently receiving medical treatment at a local hospital after being shot in the arm on the Northeast Side of San Antonio. The incident occurred just before 3 a.m. on Thursday, according to police reports.
Details of the Incident
Police stated the victim was in the process of dropping off a friend at the Broadway Inn, located on Austin Highway, when an unknown individual approached his vehicle and began shooting. The victim sustained a single gunshot wound to the arm.
Seeking Help After the Shooting
Instead of waiting for emergency services at the scene, the injured man drove himself to a Chevron gas station located at the intersection of Interstate 410 and Nacogdoches Road. He then contacted authorities from the gas station to request assistance.
