Ryan Seacrest Debunks Viral Tinder Rumors

Ryan Seacrest, the 51-year-old host of Wheel of Fortune, recently addressed widespread speculation regarding his dating life and the dating app Tinder. He clarified his status during the Monday, March 30, episode of his radio program, “On Air With Ryan Seacrest.”

Seacrest confirmed directly to his listeners, stating, “Well, I’m not [on Tinder].” He explained that the confusion arose after he made a lighthearted joke about the dating application during a recent broadcast.

The Origin of the Dating App Comment

The confusion began during the March 16 episode of Wheel of Fortune, which featured a “Love Is in the Air” theme. While speaking with cohost Vanna White, Seacrest remarked on the theme.

He told White, “I love ‘Love Is in the Air.’ I am so excited to watch all of these shows,” before adding, “And I’ll be on Tinder tonight, so I can find it.” This comment subsequently led to viral headlines suggesting he was actively seeking dates on the platform.

Addressing Outlandish Headlines

On Monday’s radio show, cohost Tanya Rad read some of the exaggerated headlines generated by the initial remark. One headline claimed, “Ryan Seacrest admits he’s lonely as he interrupts Wheel of Fortune with Tinder update.”

Seacrest immediately refuted this interpretation. He responded emphatically, “I mean, that’s not what happened at all!” Cohost Sisanie supported him, questioning the narrative: “Why do we have to act like he’s lonely?”

Seacrest’s Recent Relationship History and Views on Marriage

The American Idol host has been single since his separation from model Aubrey Paige in April 2024. A representative confirmed at that time that the couple had ended their relationship after three years together.

Seacrest has had several high-profile relationships in the past. These include model Shana Wall (2003–2005), Dancing With the Stars judge Julianne Hough (2010–2013), and chef Shayna Taylor (2017–2020).

Reflecting on commitment during a previous appearance on Live with Kelly and Ryan, Seacrest shared his perspective on marriage. He noted his parents have been married for 47 years, setting a high standard in his mind.

He explained his cautious approach: “The truth is, I have this thing that I don’t want to screw it up and a lot of times, they get screwed up and so I figure, the longer I wait, the older I’ll be, the closer to death I am, so I can get it in, and not screw it up.”

Currently, Seacrest stated he is content with his present situation. “I’m happy. I’m happy in the present moment,” he asserted. He added that while having children at the right time would be great, he is not actively pushing for changes right now.
