Roseanne Barr Discloses Heart Condition

Roseanne Barr recently shared that she has been diagnosed with a heart condition, which is currently preventing her from undergoing elective cosmetic surgery. The actress expressed frustration with the situation and her physician’s recommendations.

Facelift Plans Delayed

Barr stated she was interested in a “ponytail facelift,” a cosmetic procedure. However, her doctor advised a thorough heart evaluation due to existing damage. “He’s always sending me to other doctors to check me out,” Barr said, “And I’m like, ‘why do I have to go find something wrong when nothing’s wrong and then get in shape just so I can have surgery and die on the surgery table?’”

Concerns About Surgical Risks

The actress did not elaborate on the specifics of her heart damage. She indicated a strong preference to avoid surgery altogether, stating, “I would rather not get ready for any sort of surgery ever again in my life and just, you know, get a heart attack or a stroke and then just be put into the home.”

Preferences for End-of-Life Care

Barr revealed that both of her siblings worked in hospice care, describing it as “the greatest thing ever.” She expressed a desire to receive end-of-life care in a similar setting. During the podcast conversation, Barr was observed smoking a cigarette and drinking red wine.

Past Controversies

Barr’s comments were made during a podcast appearance. She is known for her controversial political views and past actions, including a 2018 social media post that led to the cancellation of her show, Roseanne. That post compared former Barack Obama aide Valerie Jarrett to an ape. She also made allegations against ABC executives.
