President Trump Attends Kennedy Center Opening Night
President Donald Trump is set to attend the highly anticipated opening night of the musical “Chicago” at the Kennedy Center this Tuesday evening. This cultural outing comes as the White House has indicated the President has been occupied with significant global issues.
Specifically, the ongoing situation regarding the war in Iran and other pressing matters have occupied the President's schedule recently. Despite this busy agenda, the President is making time for the arts event.
Scheduling Conflicts Affect CPAC Attendance
The President's schedule also recently prevented his attendance at the annual CPAC gathering. White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt addressed this absence during a briefing with reporters on Monday.
Leavitt confirmed that President Trump maintains a strong connection with the event, stating he still “loves” CPAC and has “a very good relationship with the great people who run it.” She attributed the non-attendance solely to logistical challenges.
“It was just simply for scheduling purposes this year, with it being in Texas, it was best for the president’s schedule and what he has on his plate right now not to go,” Leavitt explained.
Weekend Activities in Florida
In the days leading up to Tuesday’s event, President Trump spent his weekend at his Mar-a-Lago estate located in Palm Beach, Florida. His activities included visits to his local golf club on both Saturday and Sunday.
