Fan Support on Display
A Heartfelt Gesture
During the game, a fan seated amongst Dallas Stars supporters was spotted wearing a shirt proclaiming, “I heart Drake Maye.” This caught the attention of Maye and his wife.
When Maye appeared on the jumbotron, TD Garden erupted in applause. The Bruins even acknowledged the moment on their X account, posting a video with the caption, “We all heart Drake Maye.” The New England Patriots also reposted the video.
Recent Successes for the Quarterback
The outpouring of support for Maye follows his performance leading the Patriots to Super Bowl LX against the Seattle Seahawks for the 2025 NFL season. While New England ultimately fell short of winning the Lombardi Trophy, Maye’s contributions were significant.
This season, Maye recorded 4,394 passing yards and 31 touchdowns, guiding the Patriots to a 14-3 record and their first postseason appearance since 2021. He was also named a second-team All-Pro and earned his second consecutive Pro Bowl selection.
Playoff Performance
In the postseason, Maye completed 70 of 120 passes for six touchdowns and only four interceptions. He continued to impress Patriots fans with his performance.
Community Involvement and Previous Appearances
Earlier in the day, the Mayes participated in Granite Telecommunications’ 13th annual “Saving by Shaving” event. This event raises funds for pediatric research at Boston Children’s Hospital and provides hair donations for wigs through Hair We Share.
This wasn't Maye's first visit to TD Garden this season. He previously attended a Bruins game in May 2024 with wide receiver Ja’Lynn Polk during the second round of the playoffs against the Florida Panthers.
Bruins' Current Standing
The Bruins currently hold 94 points in the Atlantic Division with a 43-24-8 overall record as the NHL postseason approaches.
