Patrick J. Adams Reflects on Working with Meghan Markle on 'Suits'

Actor Patrick J. Adams, 44, recently opened up about his time filming the hit series 'Suits' alongside Meghan Markle. Adams appeared on Amanda Hirsch’s “Not Skinny But Not Fat” podcast on Tuesday, March 31, to discuss their professional relationship.

During the interview, Adams disclosed that he frequently received “a lot of eye rolls” from Markle while they were on set together. He characterized this reaction as a “constant” occurrence, suggesting it was a familiar dynamic between them.

Praise for Meghan Markle's Handwriting and Skills

Adams shared a positive note, revealing he received a handwritten letter from the Duchess of Sussex. He enthusiastically praised her penmanship, calling it “truly a work of art” and “astonishing.”

He noted that Markle pursued this skill independently, stating, “She wanted to just have that skill.” Adams confirmed that she used this talent over the years for tasks like starting and wrapping gifts.

The 'As Ever' Jam Launch and Onscreen Partnership

Despite their long working relationship, Adams disclosed that he did not receive a jar when Markle launched her brand, As Ever. He questioned the host about whether people were still receiving the jams.

Adams expressed concern that the preserves might spoil, asking, “How long do preserves last? It’s going to go bad.” Adams and Markle played onscreen love interests from 2011 until they both exited the series after the seventh season in 2018.

Defending His Former Costar and Instagram Bio

The actor explained his protective stance regarding Markle amid her marriage to Prince Harry, stating, “What she's gone through is insane.” He referenced his current Instagram bio, which humorously reads: “The other guy from that show that you're watching on that app because that girl married that prince.”

Adams speculated that Markle would react to the bio with an eye roll, saying, “‘Patrick.’ I got a lot of eye rolls.” He confirmed that while Markle has never explicitly commented on the bio, he is certain he received an eye roll for it.

He concluded by stating his intention to update the bio soon, noting, “I have to change that. It's gonna have to change soon... We got our play from it.”
