A 43-year-old man from Garfield Heights, Ohio, has received a lengthy prison sentence for his involvement in drug trafficking across Cuyahoga County and the Northeast Ohio region, the Department of Justice announced.

Federal Sentence for Omari Clifton

Omari Clifton was sentenced to 292 months in prison after being convicted on charges of possession with intent to distribute fentanyl, possession with intent to distribute cocaine, and multiple weapons offenses.

Investigation and Seizure of Evidence

The investigation into Clifton’s activities began in October 2024, leading to his identification as a significant drug trafficker. During the course of the investigation, law enforcement officials seized substantial quantities of fentanyl, cocaine, and cocaine base.

Authorities also recovered items used in the drug trade, including scales and baggies. Additionally, officers confiscated multiple cellphones, cash, and two loaded firearms.

Multi-Agency Task Force Collaboration

The case was a collaborative effort between the Southeast Area Law Enforcement Task Force and the FBI Cleveland Division Cartel, Gang, Narcotics, and Laundering Task Force. This joint operation highlights the commitment to combating drug trafficking in the region.
