Ogden Police Rescue Teen in Kidnapping Case
Ogden Police Officers rescued a 15-year-old girl from a suspected kidnapping during a traffic stop on Harrison Boulevard. The incident unfolded around midnight on April 1st, after police received reports of a reckless driver.
Traffic Stop Leads to Arrest
Officers initiated a traffic stop, leading to the discovery of the teenager and the arrest of Israel Ixcoy, 40. Ixcoy was taken into custody without incident.
Charges Filed Against Suspect
Israel Ixcoy has been booked into the Weber County Jail on charges of first-degree felony aggravated kidnapping and rape, as well as misdemeanor unlawful kissing of a minor. These charges reflect the severity of the alleged crimes.
Victim Receiving Support
“The officers’ intervention and investigation during the traffic stop were critical in safely recovering the juvenile,” the Ogden Police Department stated. The rescued teenager is currently receiving trauma-informed care and support from victim advocates.

This arrest comes amidst other investigations in Utah. Investigators believe they have identified human remains found in Utah County. Additionally, a motorcyclist was fatally injured in a crash near Intermountain Medical Center in Murray.
Multi-Agency Involvement
