NetJets Expands Presence in Georgia with New Augusta Terminal
NetJets, a leading private aviation company, is building a new, exclusive private terminal at Augusta Regional Airport (AGS) in Georgia. This development is directly aimed at meeting the growing demand associated with the annual Masters Tournament.
Responding to Surging Demand at Augusta Regional Airport
Masters Tournament Drives Private Aviation Growth
The new terminal will be NetJets’ second outpost in Georgia, following the successful opening of its first private terminal at Atlanta DeKalb-Peachtree Airport in 2012. The Atlanta location currently ranks as one of NetJets’ most popular domestic destinations, handling approximately 4,000 flights each year.
Augusta Regional Airport, located six miles south of downtown Augusta in Richmond County, experiences a significant surge in private jet traffic during the Masters Tournament. In 2024, NetJets operated nearly 580 owner flights to and from Augusta, a 34 percent increase from the 430 flights recorded in 2023.
NetJets anticipates even higher demand this year, projecting up to 775 flights during the peak period, coinciding with the 90th anniversary of the Masters. Beyond the tournament, the airport has seen a 27 percent increase in overall NetJets flight demand from 2023 to 2024.
Enhanced Services for NetJets Clients
The new state-of-the-art terminal will be reserved exclusively for NetJets clients. It will feature private lounges, a dedicated crew, and direct ramp access for seamless jet transfers. Construction is currently underway, with the private ramp expected to be completed in time for the upcoming tournament, providing 432,000 square feet of aircraft parking space.
Commitment to Seamless Travel Experience
Patrick Gallagher, president of NetJets, emphasized the company’s commitment to its clients, stating, “Augusta is a key destination for NetJets owners. This new facility reflects our commitment to providing elevated, seamless service for owners, and our investment in making their overall experience, not just travel, memorable.”
Exclusive Hospitality and Events
In addition to the new terminal, NetJets will offer “coveted hospitality” to owners and guests throughout the tournament. This includes an invitation to “NetJets Friday Night,” a special event hosted by sports commentator Jim Nantz.
“NetJets Friday Night is truly a one-of-a-kind experience,” Nantz added. “It’s an incredible opportunity to connect with fellow golf enthusiasts, reflect on the highlights of the tournament, and share in the excitement of what’s to come.”
While a specific opening date for the AGS terminal hasn’t been announced, NetJets anticipates it will be operational “soon.”
