Spectators gathered at the San Diego base to watch the annual event, which combined military flight demonstrations with interactive exhibits and family activities. The show highlighted both modern fighter aircraft and support platforms, with the Blue Angels serving as a centerpiece of the day. The interaction gave the students a close view of the trainer aircraft used for pilot instruction.People also found shade underneath the wing of a C-5M Super Galaxy, using the large transport aircraft as a refuge from the sun during the day. Ed Hamill flew in the Folds of Honor biplane, a Pitts S-2C, while Emma McDonald flew low in the Extra 330SC.
