According to a statement released by her representative, Megan Thee Stallion was transported to a local hospital for medical evaluation after experiencing concerning symptoms. Doctors diagnosed her with extreme exhaustion, dehydration, vasoconstriction, and low metabolic levels.
Understanding Vasoconstriction
Vasoconstriction, as explained by her representative, occurs when the muscles around blood vessels tighten, restricting blood flow. Stress is a known contributing factor to this condition.
Treatment and Recovery
The statement confirmed that Megan Thee Stallion received treatment and has since been discharged from the hospital. She is currently resting and is “incredibly grateful for the prayers and well wishes from her supporters.”
Broadway Debut and Return to the Stage
Megan Thee Stallion made her Broadway debut on March 24, 2026, taking on the role of Zidler in Moulin Rouge! The Musical. Prior to her hospitalization, she expressed her excitement about the role, stating, “When I got the opportunity to do it. I was like, ‘Hell yes, I’m coming up here doing it.’”
Her representative indicated that she anticipates resuming her role on Thursday. Fans in attendance on Tuesday were informed that she would not be able to continue the performance after completing a few numbers.
