Lebanon Woman Charged in Assault

Melanie Perez, 25, of Lebanon City, was arrested on Tuesday following an altercation where a person was allegedly struck in the head with a hammer. The Lebanon City Police Department confirmed Perez has been charged with aggravated assault and robbery.

Details of the Incident

According to police reports, Perez, along with two other women, approached a vehicle at the intersection of Locust and Cherry Streets. The group allegedly attempted to instigate a physical confrontation with the vehicle’s occupant.

Assault and Theft

Perez reportedly reached into the open window of the vehicle and struck the victim with a hammer. She is also accused of removing the vehicle’s license plate from the car during the incident.
