Kendra Duggar's Whereabouts Revealed Post-Arrest

New audio evidence has surfaced detailing conversations between Joseph Duggar, 31, and his wife, Kendra Duggar, 27, following their respective arrests. The audio stems from a collect call Joseph placed to Kendra from the Washington County Detention Center in Fayetteville, Arkansas, on March 20.

Kendra acknowledged missing a prior communication from Joseph. Joseph explained that he had utilized a free email service because phone calls incurred costs. He mentioned having approximately $50 upon his arrest and intended to use his remaining funds for calls, stating, "I'm not gonna use it for anything else."

A Private Residence Secured

During the call, Kendra inquired if Joseph knew her current location, seemingly aware the conversation was being recorded. After a brief pause, she informed him that authorities had placed her in a "good place to stay that's very private." Joseph responded positively to this update, saying, "Oh, praise the Lord."

Joseph Duggar's Detention Conditions

Joseph provided details about his confinement at the Washington County Detention Center in Fayetteville. He shared that he spent "23 hours of the day" in solitary confinement during his time there.

He described his holding cell as an "8-by-10 area" that was "pretty small." Despite the limited space, Joseph noted he had managed to read extensively and rest, though he admitted, "I’m not sleeping great through the night."

The Nature of the Charges

News broke earlier this month regarding Joseph's arrest, stemming from allegations of lewd and lascivious behavior involving the molestation of a victim under 12 years old, as well as lewd and lascivious behavior committed by someone 18 or older. These charges followed a claim by a 14-year-old girl regarding an alleged incident during a 2020 vacation in Panama City Beach, Florida.

Joseph appeared virtually in court on March 20, where he did not enter a plea and waived his right to an extradition hearing. Records reviewed by Us Weekly on March 29 indicated that Joseph subsequently entered a written plea of not guilty and requested a jury trial.

Kendra's Separate Charges and Release

Days after Joseph's initial arrest, it was confirmed that Kendra was also taken into custody but released the same day after posting a $1,470 bond. Both Joseph and Kendra are facing charges of endangering the welfare of a minor and four counts of second-degree false imprisonment.

A source close to the case stated exclusively to Us on March 21 that Kendra's arrest was entirely separate from Joseph’s molestation allegations, suggesting "one precipitated the other." The source explained that an automatic home study occurred after Joseph's charge due to minors residing there.

The source further elaborated that Kendra was arrested after authorities allegedly found two rooms where the doorknob locks were situated on the outside rather than the inside. This was cited as evidence of wrongful detention of her children, leading to her arrest and temporary removal of the kids.

A spokesperson for the Duggar family confirmed to Us that Kendra's charge "is a misdemeanor charge totally unrelated to the Florida case."
