Kelsey Parker's newborn daughter River made her TV debut at just one week old on Monday during an appearance on Good Morning Britain, where she reflected on a horrific five years. The 36-year-old welcomed River with boyfriend Will Lindsay last week, a year after the couple lost their son Phoenix, who was stillborn at 39 weeks. It also came four years after her husband, The Wanted's Tom Parker, died from a brain tumour at the age of 33. River Brings Hope After LossDuring the interview, host Susanna Reid asked Kelsey about her difficult few years. Kelsey said it had been a really tough four or five years for them, describing it as horrific, losing Phoenix last year and everything they went through, to now have River, who is their little hope. She added that River has given so many people out there hope.Kelsey also shares two children, Aurelia, six, and Bodhi, four, with her late husband Tom. She said her two other children are over the moon with their new baby sister. She explained that they have gone through so much as children, losing their dad and their brother, and even going in and out of the NHS and getting checked with River, they were on panic stations all the time, asking if mum was going to come back with the baby. So River really has been the hope.Pregnancy and Mental Health ChallengesOn how she coped during her pregnancy with River, Kelsey said it was so tough. From that experience, she has really bad PTSD. But she knew that everything was going to be okay and that they could not possibly go through that again. She described it as really, really tough. She added that the whole pregnancy with River was really tough, but everyone who follows her has shared so much love that she thinks they have got her through.Kelsey first started dating tree surgeon Will in September 2024, two years after Tom passed away. She revealed at the time that Tom's parents fully supported her. She said she has such an amazing village and even with Tom's parents Noreen and Nigel, they have supported her with whatever she has decided to do and they understand how hard it is.She announced her pregnancy in May, saying that Tom and Phoenix had sent her a rainbow baby, a term used for a healthy baby born after a family has experienced a previous pregnancy loss, stillbirth, or infant death.Finding Love and Coping with GriefKelsey has been candid about finding love following her husband's passing. She spoke of how meeting Will helped her recover from her loneliness, saying it is about finding happiness and with friends and family there is only so much they can do and it is lovely to have someone to offload to. She added that she was lonely and at 34 now, she was so lonely and just wanted someone and now she has met someone.On grieving, she said what she has learned is that there is no wrong or right way to grieve and we all talk about when is it the right time to move on and she just does not think there is a right time. She said she never thought at the age of 32 with two young children that she would have been widowed.She has also previously spoken about how her children helped her with Phoenix's death, saying her kids are her everything and they have got her through the darkest of times. She said she cannot believe she is back here three and a half years later dealing with such a loss and a devastation, but she and Will have the kids and they have to have normality, they have to go to school. She did do the school run and for her, she thinks you have to rip the plaster off at some point, and if she had left it until after the summer holidays and came back and saw the parents, people do not know what to say.Despite her new love, she previously explained that Tom very much lives on in their home. She said for them at home, Tom is so alive in their house and they speak to him every day. For her children, they are still babies and they are still processing it every day so these conversations are never going to go away and they are still dealing with the conversation.Kelsey shared the news of River's birth on her Instagram last week. She wrote a message welcoming River to the world, calling her our little bit of hope.
