The prosecutor from the State Attorney’s Office emphasized the gravity of the allegations. They described the charges as a "serious charge against the child" and requested stringent conditions.

The State requested a substantial bond, noting that while Duggar lacks a criminal history, he was reportedly on vacation and had only a short-term presence in the community.

Strict Conditions Imposed by the Judge

The judge established strict protective orders for the duration of the proceedings. These orders are designed to safeguard the alleged victim and other children.

The court mandated that Duggar must have "no contact with the alleged victim." Furthermore, the judge ordered "no unsupervised contact with any minors under the age of 18."

During a recorded conversation on March 20, Kendra Duggar informed Joseph that she had retained legal counsel, Travis Story. She clarified to Joseph that the attorney was retained "only for" her.
