Fans of the animated Spider-Verse trilogy have reason to celebrate. Jake Johnson has confirmed his return as Peter B. Parker in the upcoming *Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse*.

Confirmation of Return

Speaking with The Direct at the SXSW premiere of *The Sun Never Sets*, Johnson revealed he has started recording his lines for the film. When asked about previous comments in 2024 indicating he hadn’t begun recording, he stated, “That has changed. Yes, I’ve started recording. And it’s excellent.”

A Meaningful Role

Johnson also hinted that his appearance won’t be a mere cameo. He explained the movie is “honoring him in a very exciting way,” adding that it “makes me really happy.” He expressed his affection for the character, praising Phil Lord and Chris Miller for “giving him a lot of respect.”
