Hulu has unveiled the first look at Alice and Steve, a new six-episode comedy series arriving this summer. The show comes from Clerkenwell Films, the production company behind the Emmy-winning series Baby Reindeer.

A Friendship Tested

Nicola Walker and Jemaine Clement star as Alice and Steve, two best friends whose long-standing relationship is thrown into turmoil. The story centers around Alice’s reaction when Steve begins dating her 26-year-old daughter, Izzy.

The Plot Thickens

According to the series creator, Sophie Goodhart (known for Sex Education), “Alice is devastated when her best friend Steve starts dating her 26-year-old daughter Izzy.” Alice then embarks on a mission to sabotage the budding romance. However, Steve anticipates her every move, escalating their conflict into a full-blown feud.

Cast and Crew

The ensemble cast also includes Joel Fry (Cruella) and Yali Topol Margalith (A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder), alongside Tyrese Eaton-Dyce, Marcia Warren, Eilidh Fisher, and Ebony Aboagye. BAFTA-winner Tom Kingsley directed all six episodes.

Hulu describes Alice and Steve as “a hilarious, messy, and complicated exploration of friendship, love, and revenge.” The series was commissioned by Lee Mason, Vice President of Scripted at Disney+ EMEA.

Where to Watch

Alice and Steve will premiere in competition at CANNESERIES 2026 before streaming on Hulu in the U.S., Hulu on Disney+ for bundle subscribers, and Disney+ internationally. The series poses the question: “How far would you go for love or revenge?”
