Child Predator Sting Results in Multiple Arrests

Manvel police announced the arrest of seven individuals following a multi-day online sting operation focused on identifying suspected child predators. The operation, which began last Wednesday, involved the Houston Metro Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force and several other law enforcement agencies.

Museum Official Among Those Charged

All seven men are facing charges of online solicitation of a minor. One of the suspects has been identified as 50-year-old Louis Anthony Salinas, also known as Tony Salinas, who is the media director for the Houston Children’s Museum.

Houston Children’s Museum Responds

The Houston Children’s Museum released a statement addressing the allegations. Henry Yau stated, “We maintain strict policies and procedures designed to protect children, including thorough background checks and clear standards of conduct for all staff.”

The museum emphasized its commitment to safety, adding, “We continuously review and strengthen these measures to ensure a safe, trusted, and welcoming environment for every child and family we serve.”

Ongoing Investigation and Potential Further Arrests

Authorities have indicated that the investigation remains active. Police are currently working to secure warrants for four additional arrests, suggesting further developments in the case are anticipated.
