Goga Bitadze Ejected in Hawks-Magic Game
Orlando Magic center Goga Bitadze was ejected from their game against the Atlanta Hawks during the second half. The incident occurred amidst a series of physical encounters between the two teams throughout their four matchups this season.
The Incident with Jock Landale
The play leading to the ejection involved Bitadze and Hawks center Jock Landale battling for a rebound. Bitadze pulled Landale’s shoulder down, causing Landale to fall to the floor. Fortunately, Landale was evaluated by Hawks medical staff and cleared to continue playing.
Escalation and Ejection
Following the play, Hawks guard Dyson Daniels stepped in to defend Landale, pushing Bitadze. Daniels received a technical foul, while Bitadze was assessed a Flagrant-2 foul, resulting in his immediate ejection from the game.
Magic Struggle in First Half
The ejection added to a frustrating night for the Magic, who trailed early in the game. The Hawks scored 47 points in the first half, contributing to Orlando’s struggles.
