Reflecting on Co-Parenting
In a recent interview with Fox News Digital, Bush guitarist Gavin Rossdale shared insights into his co-parenting relationship with his ex-wife, Gwen Stefani. The former couple shares three sons: Kingston, Zuma, and Apollo.
Rossdale characterized their arrangement as a “two-lane highway.” He explained that while the paths do not merge, the system functions effectively because both parents are dedicated to doing their best for their children. “Probably doing the best she can, and I’m doing the best I can. And the kids are growing up, so I’m a proud proponent of the system. It’s fine,” he stated.
Prioritizing Empathy and Character
Beyond the logistics of co-parenting, Rossdale emphasized the importance of raising “likable” children. He believes that navigating life requires being mindful, considerate, and empathetic toward others.
The musician noted that he strives to lead by example, maintaining consistent friendships and a steady approach to life. He expressed concern regarding the immense pressure placed on the younger generation today, noting the difficulties of navigating college, student loans, and the modern workforce.
Looking Ahead: Bush at Stagecoach
Rossdale also discussed his professional life, specifically the band's upcoming appearance at the Stagecoach music festival. Despite the festival's country music focus, the rocker is confident in his performance.
“I think it just comes down to playing well, being enthusiastic, and having a good energy,” Rossdale said. “And if you bring good energy, there’s no reason why people can’t respond.”
Stagecoach 2026 is set to take place at the Empire Polo Club in Indio, California, from April 24 to April 26, 2026. Bush is scheduled to take the stage on Saturday, April 25.
