Ford Partners with onX for Enhanced Off-Road Navigation
Ford is expanding its offerings for outdoor enthusiasts through a new partnership with onX. The collaboration provides owners of eligible Ford vehicles with complimentary access to a comprehensive suite of navigation and exploration apps.
One Year of Free Access to onX Apps
Starting today, owners of 2017 and newer Ford models will receive one year of free access to the full onX app suite. This includes onX Offroad, onX Backcountry, onX Fish, and onX Hunt. Users can access these apps on their smartphones or through their vehicle’s display via Android Auto or Apple CarPlay.
Exploring the onX Offroad App
The onX Offroad app is a key component of the partnership, boasting over 650,000 miles of trails. It provides users with detailed trail information, including difficulty ratings, descriptions, and user-submitted photos to help them choose appropriate routes. This allows drivers to confidently navigate off the beaten path.
Beyond Off-Road: Hiking, Fishing & Hunting
The onX suite extends beyond off-roading. onX Backcountry offers over 1 million miles of hiking and biking trails, ski routes, and climbing areas. onX Fish and onX Hunt cater to anglers and hunters, respectively, providing specialized mapping and data.
How to Claim Your Free onX Membership
Ford customers can claim their free onX Elite membership through the Ford app by clicking on the onX Elite membership banner. Alternatively, they can visit onxmaps.com/ford to activate their subscription. It’s important to note that the offer expires on December 22, 2028, and requires credit card information for automatic renewal until cancelled.
New Off-Road Video Series: “Chasing Off-Road Confidence”
Alongside the onX partnership, Ford has launched a new video series titled “Chasing Off-Road Confidence.” The series features influencer Chase Gentry as he explores trails across the country in various Ford vehicles. The first episode, available here, includes off-road tips and showcases the benefits of the onX integration.
