Florence Pugh to Star in Film Adaptation of 'The Midnight Library' Actress Florence Pugh has been cast as Nora Seed in the film adaptation of Matt Haig's *The Midnight Library*, reuniting with director Garth Davis. The story follows Nora as she explores alternate lives she could have lived after waking up in a mystical library, confronting the consequences of her past decisions and searching for meaning. Florence Pugh is returning to a literary adaptation, signing on to lead *The Midnight Library*, based on Matt Haig's 2020 bestseller. She will play Nora Seed, a woman who, after attempting suicide, wakes up in a library where every book represents a different version of her life based on alternative choices. This allows her to explore what her life could have been - from fame and success to familial harmony - though she soon realizes that no single decision can guarantee happiness. Garth Davis, who directed Pugh in *East of Eden*, will helm the film, with StudioCanal and Blueprint Pictures backing it. The project is set to begin pre-production in Fall 2026.
