A Decade of Impact for CHLA

Children’s Hospital Los Angeles (CHLA) has successfully concluded its 2026 Make March Matter campaign, raising $1.25 million to support pediatric care. This year’s fundraising effort coincided with the hospital’s 125th anniversary, successfully meeting its financial goal.

Since its inception in 2016 by Dawn Wilcox, the initiative has become a cornerstone for regional pediatric support. To date, the campaign has raised over $15 million, drawing contributions from more than 500 businesses.

Fashion Industry Support

The 2026 campaign featured a diverse roster of luxury and contemporary brands that contributed through in-store events and a percentage of sales throughout March. Notable participants included:

  • Anine Bing
  • Irene Neuwirth
  • Monday Swimwear
  • Jenni Kayne
  • Veronica Beard

These brands activated their Los Angeles storefronts to engage the community. For instance, Anine Bing hosted a shopping event in Beverly Hills co-chaired by actress Malin Akerman, donating 20 percent of the proceeds to the hospital.

Community Engagement and Philanthropy

Beyond the primary partnerships, retailers such as Kendra Scott and Christofle Beverly Hills provided consumers with various ways to donate both in-store and online. These collective efforts were vital in reaching the campaign's ambitious $1.25 million target.

Anine Bing, founder and creative director of her namesake label, expressed her commitment to the cause. "For me, it is a privilege to host these kinds of shopping events that bring together the local community to support such a great cause," Bing stated. She noted that she has witnessed the hospital's impact on Los Angeles firsthand and remains proud to contribute to its future.
