"If you know something, say something," said Louis' mother Latoya, as police hunt for the gunman who killed her son. Louis’ relatives gathered just feet from where he was found Wednesday morning, mourning his death outside the Lockbourne Road building where Louis was last seen alive. “This is the last place where he was,” said Louis’ mother. “It’s devastating, that in a matter of seconds, in an instant his life was gone.”“That was my best friend, that was my big brother, it hurts my kids can’t talk to my brother every day,” he said. “I can’t call and talk to my brother everyday.” Louis’ 17-year-old daughter, Lev, wore her father’s jacket from when he worked in Atlanta, saying it is one of the few items she has left of him. “These clothes have his name, his first name on the shirt, last name on the jacket, it is the only thing I have of him,” Lev said. “I am standing in the dirty work clothes he had in Atlanta, instead of having my dad around.” Relatives said Louis moved to Columbus from Georgia seven years ago to be closer to family after an uncle died. They believe that when he got off work, he came to an event at the after-hours club. Police said Louis was discovered by the event company owner shot to death around 7:30 Wednesday morning.“I have not heard anything, I have not heard anything,” she said. Columbus police issued a release about the deadly shooting Wednesday night. When ABC 6 asked by e-mail Thursday whether investigators had identified any potential suspects or had possible descriptions, police referred questions back to the initial release that gave limited information, but no details about suspects or motive.“We just want peace, we want to know what happened to him, he didn't deserve this at all,” Latoya Louis said, “DeKevin was a great person, everybody that knew him, loved him. It makes no sense, none whatsoever, he was such a good person.” As relatives from Columbus and Atlanta mourn together, Louis’ mother pleads for help from the public.Scenic Ohio Route 315 stretch along Olentangy River to close for 4 months amid erosion fix Drivers who take State Route 315 along the Olentangy River between Columbus and Delaware will need to plan for a major closure starting Monday that is expectedColumbus police are responding to a shooting that left a victim in critical condition Monday afternoon.Few details were immediately available, but ABC 6 confirmAn endangered child alert was canceled Monday in Pike County after law-enforcement officials said the girl was found safe. The alert had covered Pike, Adams, HigFor the first time in over three decades, Columbus sports fans officially have a professional outdoor football team to call their own.The Columbus Aviators make
