Expired Milk Causes Illness at Vale Middle School
Northside Independent School District (NISD) is investigating an incident where 11 middle school students reported feeling unwell or became ill after drinking expired milk on Wednesday.

The affected students attended Vale Middle School, according to a district spokesperson. A portion of the milk supply at the school had passed its expiration date.
Investigation Launched
NISD’s Child Nutrition Department has initiated a full investigation into how the expired milk was served. The district is also making a report to the Health Department, following standard protocols.
Student Evaluation and Milk Supplier
The campus nurse evaluated all 11 students on Wednesday. The district spokesperson confirmed that these were the only reported illnesses related to the incident.
Oak Farms Dairy is the milk provider for the school district. NISD believes the issue was isolated to Vale Middle School.
