LASD Deputies Ambushed in East Los Angeles

A tense situation unfolded in East Los Angeles early Wednesday morning, resulting in the death of an armed suspect following an ambush on Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department (LASD) deputies. The incident began shortly before 2:00 a.m. in the 1400 block of South Downey Road, near the intersection of Triggs Street.

Initial Response and Gunfire
