Dexter: Resurrection Season 2, the upcoming crime drama on Paramount+, has added Emmy Award-winning actor Brian Cox to its cast. Cox will portray a chilling new antagonist known as The New York Ripper.

According to a press release, The New York Ripper is a serial killer who once terrorized New York City. Though no longer actively killing, he continues to haunt the survivors of his past crimes by taunting them. This adds a new layer of psychological threat to the already complex world of Dexter.
Cox's Acclaimed Career
Brian Cox is a highly decorated actor, having earned an Emmy, an Olivier Award, and a Golden Globe throughout his career. He is widely recognized for his portrayal of Logan Roy in the critically acclaimed HBO series Succession, a drama centered on a media mogul and his family’s power struggles.
Dexter's New Chapter
Michael C. Hall will reprise his iconic role as Dexter Morgan, the forensic analyst with a dark secret. The story picks up after Dexter awakens from a coma following a shooting by his son, Harrison. He travels to New York City seeking to reconcile with Harrison, but his past inevitably catches up with him.
Returning Cast and Crew
Season 1 of Dexter: Resurrection featured a strong ensemble cast including Uma Thurman, David Zayas, Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine, Kadia Saraf, Dominic Fumusa, Emilia Suárez, and James Remar. Clyde Phillips returns as showrunner and executive producer.
