Police shot and killed a man in Chester, Pennsylvania, on Wednesday morning after confronting him while he was stabbing a woman to death. The incident occurred after the man had already fatally shot another individual.

Shortly after midnight, officers responded to a 911 call reporting an attack at a home on the 900 block of Barclay Street. Upon arrival, they discovered a man actively stabbing a woman with a knife.

Suspect Ignored Police Commands

According to officials, police ordered the man to cease his attack. However, the suspect disregarded these commands and continued to assault the woman. Police then discharged their firearms, fatally shooting the suspect.

Prior Shooting Discovered at the Scene
