New Series Investigates High-Profile Conspiracy Theories

The New York Post has partnered with Discovery Channel to launch a new series, “Conspiracies & Coverups,” which will examine some of the world’s most debated conspiracy theories. The series will feature experts testing the validity of these claims through declassified records and expert analysis.

Premiere Episode Focuses on Trump Assassination Attempt

The premiere episode centers around the attempted assassination of President Trump at a campaign rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, in July 2024. Following the incident, conspiracy theories quickly spread online, alleging that the gunman, Thomas Matthew Crooks, was acting under mind control.

Expert Investigation into Mind Control

Andrew Bustamante, a former CIA covert intelligence officer and host of the series, will lead the investigation. He will be joined by mentalist Max Major and Michael Evans, editorial director of the National Security Archive, to explore the origins of the mind control theory.

The investigation will trace the theory back to the CIA’s controversial MK-Ultra experiments. Bustamante, Major, and Evans will conduct a real-world experiment to determine if hypnosis could potentially compel someone to carry out an assassination.

Unexpected Results and Powerful Suggestion

The experiment’s results reportedly force Bustamante to consider the significant influence of suggestion, authority, and belief. The series aims to uncover answers to questions that those in power may prefer to remain unanswered.

How to Watch

Viewers can stream the premiere episode of “Conspiracies & Coverups” for free the morning after its initial airing on Discovery Channel.
