Justification for the Trip
A spokesperson for Representative Van Orden stated that the trip was authorized months prior by the House Ethics Committee. “DVO is joining more than 30 other members of Congress on a delegation that was pre-approved by the House Ethics Committee months ago,” the spokesperson told TMZ. The purpose of the delegation is centered on economic development, fostering foreign partnerships, and engaging with international business leaders, including meetings with members of Parliament and other officials.
