Shooting Incidents & Police Response
Columbus saw a surge in violence this week, with several shooting incidents reported throughout the city. On Friday, around 2:30 p.m., a shooting occurred near East Livingston Avenue and Lilley Avenue, initially reported as a road rage incident. Law enforcement is investigating.
First Stop Bar and Grill Shooting
Early Friday morning, a shooting at the First Stop Bar and Grill on Oakland Park Avenue in the Linden area resulted in one fatality and one injury. Due to two recent shootings at the location, the bar has been permanently closed following an agreement with the City of Columbus, aiming to improve neighborhood safety.

A person was recovering Friday morning after a shooting at Strawberry Farm park in northeast Columbus. Police responded to the scene around 8:20 p.m. on Thursday and are continuing their investigation.
