Celine Dion Confirms Highly Anticipated Paris Return

Music icon Celine Dion has officially announced a series of comeback concerts scheduled for Paris, signaling a major milestone in her ongoing health journey. This return comes as the star continues to manage her battle with stiff person syndrome (SPS).

The announcement was made via a brief video clip where Dion expressed immense gratitude and excitement for the upcoming performances. She shared, “This year, I’m getting the best gift of my life,” adding that she is feeling “good, strong, excited,” though admittedly a little nervous.

A Birthday Celebration and Gratitude

Dion made the reveal while celebrating her 58th birthday, an occasion marked by the illumination of the Eiffel Tower in her honor on Monday in Paris. She directly addressed her fans, stating, “I can’t wait to see you again. Well, happy birthday to me.”

The singer acknowledged the unwavering support she has received from her global fanbase. “Over the last few years, every day that’s gone by, I’ve felt your prayers and support,” she conveyed. She concluded this sentiment by confirming, “This year, I’m getting the chance to see you, to perform for you once again in Paris.”

Details of the Paris Residency

The series of shows, titled “Celine Dion Paris 2026,” will officially mark her return to the stage after a six-year absence. The residency is set to feature her greatest hits performed in both English and French.

The schedule includes a 10-show run at the Paris La Défense Arena. The first performance is slated for September 10, which will be her first full concert in years. Stiff person syndrome, which causes muscle spasms that can affect the vocal cords, led Dion to cancel her “Courage World Tour” back in 2022.

The residency is currently scheduled to conclude on Wednesday, October 14. Despite her health challenges, Dion recently made a notable public appearance, performing atop the Eiffel Tower during the opening ceremony of the 2024 Paris Olympics.
