Global music icon Celine Dion has officially announced her return to live performance following a four-year hiatus necessitated by her health challenges. The Grammy-winning singer revealed plans for a limited engagement consisting of ten shows this fall.
Celine Dion's Paris Concert Dates Announced
Limited Engagement at La Défense Arena
The superstar confirmed on Monday that she will perform at the Paris La Défense Arena. This five-week engagement is scheduled to commence on September 12 and run through October 14.
These concerts mark a significant milestone for Dion, as they are her first series of performances since disclosing her diagnosis with the rare neurological disorder, stiff-person syndrome, in 2022. The venue, which hosted events during the recent Olympics, has a capacity of 40,000 spectators.
A Message of Gratitude to Fans
Dion shared an emotional video message from beneath the Eiffel Tower on her 58th birthday to make the announcement. She expressed deep gratitude for the unwavering support she has received from her global fanbase.
“Over the last few years, every day that’s gone by, I’ve felt your prayers and support,” Dion stated. She added that she feels both “strong” and “excited” to finally step back onto the stage to perform for her audience once again in Paris.
Show Details and Recent Appearances
The upcoming series has been titled “Celine Dion Paris 2026.” The production is currently being developed in collaboration with creative director Willo Perron. Fans can anticipate hearing her catalog of beloved hits performed in both English and French.
This planned return follows recent high-profile public appearances. Dion made a brief but widely watched return during the opening ceremony of the 2024 Paris Olympics. She also made a heartfelt surprise appearance during the semi-final of the Eurovision Song Contest, a competition that holds special significance as she won the contest for Switzerland in 1988.
Celine Dion remains one of the most decorated and highest-selling artists in pop music history, boasting nearly 260 million albums sold worldwide. Her iconic repertoire includes massive hits such as “My Heart Will Go On” and “Because You Loved Me.”
